On Monday I was lucky enough to go out of town for work for a few days…  At least I thought so.  Unfortunately the town I went to only had one hotel and it was no Sheraton!

After the trip I came up with a list of 10 signs your hotel sucks…

• The main entrance is locked when you get there to check in.
• They offer a meal plan but don’t have a menu.
• The cook is also the guy who does reservation.
• There is no front desk clerk.
• You can’t dial a long distance number from your room.
• The TV is an antique and can only get 13 channels.
• The room has 3 beds but no washroom and no shower.
• It’s boiling hot at night and freezing cold in the morning.
• The furniture looks like it was stolen from somebody’s cottage.
• You get up at 6:28am to shower before the neighbour who wakes up at 6:30am

Overall for the amount of time I spent there it wasn’t all that bad. The food was alright and the people were friendly. I guess I just wasn’t expecting to have a room with 3 beds and no bathroom. I was also hoping for high speed internet, yeah right.  I’ve been to worse places but it was a lot more remote than this hotel.
