Last night we checked out the Molson Bash at Cedar Meadows. We were one of the lucky 450 that could get tickets to the event. You had to win to get in (or know someone).

The lineup this year was Tara Slone (10th place for RockStar INXS), BOY, and Mobile. The last couple of years they brought in High Holy Days and The Trews. I can admit that I don’t really know the 3 bands from this year but there was 3! I guess instead of forking out big $ for a more familiar band to play 5-6 songs they spent the money and got 3 bands that would play as many songs as they wanted. It just means more music. They put on a great show as well.

Its nice that local businesses like NorthernTel, Q92, Cedar Meadows still bring in bands like this. We haven’t seen too many other bands come into town in the last few years (except in local bars). I wish we would still get bands that came in to play in the Hollinger Park every summer like years ago when we saw Our Lady Peace, Shania Twain, and Matthew Good during the Underdog days.

So great show, good night and plenty of beer. Here are some of the crap pictures I took with my point and shoot camera. I wasn’t going to haul my SLR around.
