Up And Go

October 10th, 2007

Monday was a travel day. It wasn’t the usual travel day though. At like 7 am I heard someone banging on a door in the hallway but didn’t think anything of it. I tried to fall back asleep but about 15 minutes later I heard it again but it was louder. I went to check out the peep hole but couldn’t see too much since it was dirty. What I could make out however was someone lying on the floor right in the middle of the hall in front of my door. It was pretty weird. The girl looked like she was lying there naked. I could hear her talking to herself. A lady across the hall opened up her door and started talking to her since she had been knocking on her door. The lady seemed confused as to why this girl was naked in the middle of the hall. She said to her “do you realize you’re naked?”. I think the girl was high on something or perhaps took too much of her pills. The lady was nice enough to give her a towel. Shortly after the hotel manager came up to try and sort things out. This girl didn’t even know her last name when the guy was asking her what it was. He kept asking her what room she was staying in and couldn’t get a response from her. Finally he brought her downstairs to call someone to come pick her up after they gave her a robe of course.

After that was all over I checked to see if I still had some time left in my 24 hour internet access that I paid $10 for. Sure enough I managed to get one post out. I tried to post a second but it failed and didn’t save. My time had run out.

I paid the $42 of parking at the hotel and left shortly after 9 am. The GPS guided us west on Dundas to get out of town. I think it may have been faster if we took the Gardiner Expressway or something like that but we managed to get onto the 400. We stopped at Webbers to get some char grilled burgers before they close for the season. It was pretty good.

Friday Friday Good Friday

April 14th, 2006

I need to squeeze at least one post out of myself today, not like there was much to do.  It’s good Friday, pretty much everything is closed.  The only place I spent money today was at Tim Hortons and the movie theatre.

We watched Scary Movie 4.  It wasn’t the greatest but it wasn’t the worse.  Dr. Phil was in it for a bit at the start.  It’s just like all the other scary movies, a spoof of the horrors that were released within the last year.  The made fun of Saw, The Grudge, The Village and Tom Cruises appearance on Oprah, that was a hell of a horror.

Today was semi productive.  I did some laundry.  We vacuumed the car and wipped off the streaks from the car wash last night.  I decided to give the car a cleaning since I put my rims on for the summer.  The damn car wash was broken, I had to wait like 20 minutes in line and there was only one car in front of me.  The guy was manually working the automatic car wash.

I realized that there might be something better than Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, Reese’s Peanut Butter and Caramel cups.  I tried it yesterday and it was great.  The only bad thing is there’s only 2 of them instead of 3.  Not sure if it’s really worth the sacrifice yet.

Only 1 hour 11 minutes left until we can eat meat again.

Nothing Night

April 12th, 2006

Tonight is a nothing night.  Not doing anything, not getting nothing done.  Anything that I am supposed to do will wait until tomorrow.  I don’t feel like doing anything and that’s what I am going to do.  That being said, I’ve spent the night going from blog to blog reading what people have to say.  If you’ve been here before you’ll notice I’ve also updated the header.  I was bored of the other one so I decided to change it.  I had to add the “hammertime” to the stop sign, I couldn’t resist, it was a perfect opportunity.

The Cash Is Back

April 3rd, 2006

As you already know I found a lot of money by the bank machine on Saturday, $960 to be exact.  Today I brought it back.

I looked up what time the bank opened at online and dropped by shortly after 10AM.  I spoke to the person at the information desk to see if a deposit was missing from the bank machine.  Since the bank had just opened they didn’t know yet because they didn’t empty the deposits.  So I gave them my name and number in case someone forgot to put in the envelope when they made a deposit.   Shortly after noon I called into the office to check my voicemail since I was at a clients all morning and there was a message from the bank.  I called them back and they said that the police were in there asking if anyone had found an envelope with nine hundred and some dollars in it.  The bank gave me the contact number for the officer in charge.  I tried calling but got his voice mail so I went to the police station to drop off the money so they can give it back to the rightful owner.  The officer in charge was on lunch so I spoke with his superior.  He counted the money, asked me a few questions on where and when I found it.

I could just imagine how worried the person who lost the money must have been. I would be freaking out.

I didn’t think they would have noticed it because the money was in a deposit envelope.  I thought they just forgot to put it in the machine walked away.  I figured the bank would of been the first to know and called the customer.  By the looks of things that wasn’t what happen because the police knew before the bank.  I didn’t even think of calling the police.  I just thought of calling the bank but they were closed until today and probably couldn’t have done anything anyways.

One important thing here, if you find something that is not yours try your best to find the rightful owner back.  I’m sure you would appreciate it if you were on the flip side.

Bye Jenny Good

March 13th, 2006

It’s official, Jennifer Good (www.jennifergood.net) is calling it quits. Today her site said nothing but “No web site is configured at this address.” Last week she indicated to readers that she was “kind of over blogging”

“I’m kind of over blogging. I really don’t know what direction I want to go in right now with regards to my content, but I am certainly sick of painting this partygirl image of myself. I took my tongue ring and belly piercing out. I feel too old for them. I’ve been having an age crisis as of late. Melissa and I went to the bar in Boulder where we referred to ourselves as “cougars” as everyone in there was most definitely not legal.”

I sent an e-mail to Jenny this afternoon, in her reply;

“yes, unfortunately the bloggie blog is gone. I’m over it for right now - might resume in a couple of months.”

I’m hoping it’s a temporary thing, after all she did indicate that she was working on a huge project…

I’ve been keeping myself really busy lately with a huge project. Very much looking forward to launching it. Stay tuned and maybe, just maybe I’ll let you in on our little secret.

Look Ma! I made it on the Google Toolbar Page!

February 3rd, 2006

Check it out for yourself. I didn’t expect to be 1 of 8 blogs in the Google Toolbar Blogs Button category. I am thinking that only happened because 1. It’s new and 2. I registered with Google Toolbar the first day it was released.

I bet nobody is as stoked as I am but I don’t care. Let me know if you’ve come to this site via the Google Toolbar page ;)

Karaoke tonight

January 28th, 2006

Tonight we went to The Zoo in South Porcupine for karaoke. I though this place was going to be lame, and it was, but I actually enjoyed it (if that makes sence). Jenn’s parents came with us and her sister wimped out since she went out yesterday. I wasn’t brave enough to go up and sing a song, I need to practice before I do, so I don’t make a fool outta my self. That or get really drunk and sing anyways since I wouldn’t really care. I think I will just sit it out for now. I made a big enough fool out of myself on my 20th birthday when I attempted to sing Billie Jean when I was smashed.

Have you ever been wasted and went up to sing karaoke?

Ottawa Trip

January 21st, 2006

Highway to Mattawa Well we made it to Ottawa. It took pretty long though because we had to take this huge detour. The highway was closed by Latchford so we went by the Quebec way. My brother tells me that I should of just went through the Park, it would have been quicker. We left from home at about 8:30am and only got here at about 5:30pm.

Last night we made some pretty wicked pasta for supper then we went to the Casino in Hull. We played the game with horse races. It was pretty cool. I didn’t lose any money on that one and I actually played it pretty long. Then I played “SIC BO” and lost $40 in about 30 mins. I had another $6 left in my pocket so I decided to lose it on the big wheel game (not sure what it’s called).

This morning, it’s snowing like crazy here. It hasn’t stopped since about 2am last night. The streets are a mess and nobody knows how to drive in this weather here…. Should make for an interesting trip to the mall.

TONIGHT…..BEERZOOKA’s at MINGLEWOODS!!!
