It started off yesterday for the USA with a gold medal for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Timmins, Ontario. USA beat out Ontario 2-1 in a game that left Ontario scoreless 1.18 seconds left in the third period. Team Ontario didn’t play a physical game and couldn’t get very many shots on net.
Tonight USA has captured another gold medal in the World Juniors in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I must admit that tonights game was much better to watch then the U17 game. After the second period the score was tied at 3. Team USA came out strong in the 3rd and lead Team Canada 5-3 but with less than 3 minutes left in the game Team Canada tied the game at 5. Unfortunately for us we lost when Derek Stepan scored the winning goal for Team USA 4 minutes and 31 seconds into overtime.

It seems like the last few months have been pretty lazy. I get home from work and have no energy to do anything else. I don’t really have the motivation to get up and do something. The only thing that I have been doing is playing hockey every once in a while. With Christmas coming I haven’t played hockey in a couple weeks because of scheduling problems with staff parties and gatherings. I hope I am not busy for our next game because I really want to play. Last year I played in a hockey tournament between Christmas and New Years. I’m not sure if I will be able to play this year because we will be at the cottage that weekend. I might just come back for games throughout the weekend because I would really like to play.
Tonight I am doing something out of the ususal. I am going to the pool. Not just for adult swim but for aqua fit. I’ve been wanting to try that out for a while now and I think tonight is the night.
In the new year I would like to start running again and become more active. I would really like to run another half marathon or even 10k.
