It started off yesterday for the USA with a gold medal for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Timmins, Ontario.  USA beat out Ontario 2-1 in a game that left Ontario scoreless 1.18 seconds left in the third period.  Team Ontario didn’t play a physical game and couldn’t get very many shots on net.

Tonight USA has captured another gold medal in the World Juniors in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.  I must admit that tonights game was much better to watch then the U17 game.  After the second period the score was tied at 3.  Team USA came out strong in the 3rd and lead Team Canada 5-3 but with less than 3 minutes left in the game Team Canada tied the game at 5.  Unfortunately for us we lost when Derek Stepan scored the winning goal for Team USA 4 minutes and 31 seconds into overtime.
